Using our unique Freshtrusion™ process, we have created recipes that boast a minimum of 35% freshly prepared content.
The range has been formulated with Sweet Potato and Potato to be suitable for those with grain intolerance/sensitivities. Added Prebiotics MOS and FOS help to support digestion which, in turn, helps to produce smaller, firmer stools.
The range provides a selection of hypoallergenic recipes formulated without common food allergens for dogs – beef, pork, wheat, wheat gluten, dairy and soya.
The range provides a variety of recipes formulated for pets with sensitive digestion. All recipes are also naturally preserved using rosemary extract and contain no added artificial colours or preservatives.
We have developed 5 unique recipes formulated to provide various functional benefits such as Skin & Coat, Digestive, Dental, Calming and Immune. Each Functional Treat recipe is formulated with a minimum of 50% freshly prepared protein sources.

How did you discover GA?
We were approached by one of GA’s sales representatives. He presented us with the concept of having our very own brand of pet food. We thought we would pursue the opportunity and took our first order of Super Premium dog food shortly afterwards and haven’t looked back since.
Why did you choose GA?
We chose GA because of their range of expertise and wide catalogue of products. GA was also one of the first companies on the market that offered the opportunity to create your own brand of pet food with your own logo on it.
All of GA’s pet food is manufactured in the UK which we saw as a fantastic opportunity to use as one of our unique selling points. We are also local to GA’s premises which allows us to collect the pet food with ease. The fact GA is committed to earth-friendly manufacturing and minimal environmental impact was also another factor for us in our decision.
How did you find the process of becoming a partner at GA?
The process was very easy to understand and straight forward. In order for us to invest in something, the process has to be 1,2,3 and this is how it was becoming a partner at GA.
Having our own dedicated account manager made it easy to communicate with GA and allowed us to make use of a variety of services and help that GA offer such as the internal designers that worked with us to design our logo and labels. We simply gave them a vision and they came back with designs. It was as simple as that!
What are the benefits of being a partner with GA?
There are several benefits to being a partner with GA. Margins are certainly a big plus! We are free to offer what products we want at the prices we want. Of our Grain Free ranges that we sell, we can make up to £10-£11 on a bag of Grain Free food, which is roughly 45% profit! This is fantastic!
Another benefit of being a partner with GA is that we can request samples of dog food to provide to our customers that come into our store. This allows our customers to try our dog food and they can see for themselves that the pet food provided is of the highest quality. More than often this leads to them coming back to us and purchasing a full bag.
How do margins compare to the brands on the shelves?
The margins of the Grain Free range in comparison to other brands are certainly higher. The opportunity to set our own price allows us to increase our margin, compared to other none GA brands. When purchasing other brands there is a certain amount of pressure to sell this to the customer. However, with our own range, we have no pressure as we can order when we want and this has led to a better turnover on our products. As we have built up our customer base we have increased our shelf space with our range of products and now have our own e-commerce website.
How successful is your Grain Free range?
We started off by successfully selling the Super Premium range and quickly realised that there was an opportunity to sell the Grain Free recipes. With the help of GA, we have taken the range into the claret bags which helps us differentiate our product from other GA Partners. One of the reasons why we feel Grain Free has been such a success is because the ingredients are of such high quality.
Our customers are willing to pay the premium price because they like what their dog eats and the benefits it has for their dogs. When a customer asks a query about our recipes we have been provided with a variety of marketing material from GA to better our knowledge of how each recipe can prove beneficial to dogs.
